In these uncertain times, Camden residents can at least take some comfort that their council appears not to have blown millions of pounds in a dodgy Icelandic deposit account.

Camden has confirmed that it was not one of the councils that lost money in the collapse of Landbanksi. And it is not on this list of councils exposed to the other Icelandic banks. Neighbouring Brent and Haringey are on the list, though, so you might conclude that we had a lucky escape.
