West Hampstead library could have all the ambience of the Starbucks down the road, under plans being considered by Camden Council.
According to the Ham & High, libraries in the borough may relax rules on silence, mobile phones and bringing in food and drink. The idea is intended to make libraries more attractive to young people.
Camden Council says there are no formal plans at this stage, and any change of this kind would be subject to consultation with library users.
